The writing's on the railroad station wull
I'm waiting for the other shoe to fall
Waiting all night for a call to come
We're supposed to meet in San Antone
She left the party early, said she flies alone
Lookin'at my watch my skin begins to crawl

but she's moving on Eastern Time
Slippin Immigraion and cross the dateline
she's moving on Eastern Time
Hong Kong, Bangkok, Mumbai train
Looking for the jewel to fit the chain
The incense trail always leaves a clue
I hear footsteps up ahead, I think
Palms are getting'sweaty, I could use a drink
Move on buddy, I've got no time for you
I'm running on Eastern Time
slippin'immigration
Cross that date line
Now I'm running on Eastern Time

I'm standing in alley in old Kowloon
I've got a gun in my pocket and the police in my room
I can't go back to the hotel now
I wonder what she did with the jade Quan Yin
Did she mean to get it out or smuggle it back in
We don't talk, I guess we don't know how
